Jazzmaster with limited controls? Humbuckers?

Saw a gig recently. Guitarist had what looked like a Fender Jazzmaster. It didn't look like it had the rotars on the upper horn like most Jazzmaster/Jaguars have. Limited controls.

It also had humbuckers instead of P90s. Was this a Fender model or did this fella have a good knock off?

No pics. Sorry.

Could've been a Squier Jagmaster:
