Fender Custom Shop serial numbers

Is there an online resource to search Fender custom shop serial numbers? Google has been no help to me.

Google is your friend. The very first hit it returns from the string "fender custom shop serial numbers" is, oddly enough, Fender's serial number scheme dating back to the dawn of Fender time. You can see it for yourself here.

That site is FANTASTIC for regular production serial numbers...

Not much good for CS serials though. I would bet that the CS puts out more Rxxxxx serials than anything else (Time machine models). I couldn't even find a reference to those on that site. Not to mention that I've had several Masterbuilt one-offs done with CN serials....which according to the site would be a Korean Production serial...NOT likely

Your best bet....if you have a question about a serial number...is to submit an email or phone call to Customer Relations.

Right. A little more research turns up that Custom Shop SNs are all over the place with little rhyme or reason to them, so your solution is probably best. Maybe they have a "book of souls" or something for guitars that were sold under the auspices of the Custom Shop.

Yes, I have seen all that KGWagner, it is no help to me though.

Mine is a Time Machine with an Rxxxxx number - there appears to be another with the same serial in another city - but it's likely the salesperson made a mistake when typing it in. I just wanted to clarify online if possible. Guess I'll email Fender and see how their customer service is like. CHEERS!
