NGD: 2000 American Deluxe Ash Fat Strat (Teal Green Transparent)

this came in the mail today...

2000 Fender American Deluxe Ash Fat Strat in Teal Green Transparent.

Really liking it so far... the ash body sounds very different than my other two American Deluxe Strats... very very resonant and its very light... I'm totally digging the finish on it too!

It's really surprising to me how different this sounds than my other two American Deluxe guitars (1998 alder SSS and 2000 alder double fat floyd rose).

That is beautiful. I've got an ash body on my 54th Anniversary and it is one of my favorite guitars.

usually i think the vintage noiseless pickups sound completely lifeless and dead but they are really alive in this guitar... I actually like them very much... it's got to be the ash body... my 1998 american deluxe is almost identical to this one other than the the color and that its alder not ash.. and they came out of that guitar in a hurry.

i have a new found appreciation for ash bodied guitars

Sweet strat. Fender deluxe strats/teles always looks amazing in my opinion. Do your other strats have alder bodies? How much of a difference can you perceive and is it only unplugged or plugged in as well?
