If the OCD isn't for you, try the Sonic Stomp!!

Tried an OCD at GC the other day. When I was done, I told the guy in the pedal department I'm not sure yet if it's the right pedal for me. Then he recommended I try out the BBE Sonic Stomp... Great advice.

Maybe someone could post a video AB-ing the OCD and the Sonic Stomp sometime. Ridiculous.

Both pedals make your signal brighter, even though the latter does so through subtle phase modulation rather than simply boosting treble.

I usually try to get into as few conversations with the workers as possible. In fact I often try to enter and leave completely undetected. This also helps me to steal things.

Sonic Stomp? Isn't that more like an EQ pedal? It does have a volume boost type thing going on if you want it, like all EQs do (although I know the sonic stomp is different than a normal parametric eq) but c'mon, it's like a totally different category than an overdrive or distortion pedal. Heck, my compressor can boost a signal but I'm not going to compare it to a Klon anytime soon! Plus, it does a digital shimmer type cleanup to the signal which is great for some modulation purposes, but not for the type of stuff you'd use an OCD for.

For example, when I had one, this is what i used it for:

That's not exactly OCD territory.

Mine doesn't boost the treble if you ask me, in contrary, it boosts the bass and makes the sound too dark to my taste :s
