I picked-up a 000-28 "Golden Era" 12-fret and it sure is sweet; I could see it being the "one."

I've got it, a 1985 Lowden O10. One of the last made in ireland before production shifted to japan.

This one, old Tama 3568 given to me by my dad ~35 years ago. It'll go to my daughter.

I recently was in the market for an acoustic. I was looking low on Martin's line and realized instead that I might as well get one that's going to be around for the rest of my life: the D-28. I love it!

I had a Tama for a few years - not as ornate as yours - and it was a WONDERFUL guitar. I haven't seen another one until now. It is a guitar I wish I still had although I traded it for a '67 Tele... which I also wish I still had

I replaced it with an O25C Custom and don't plan to ever let that guitar go. They are amazing guitars - responsive, balanced... just inspired and inspiring. I've had other hand made guitars and high end factory models and I've wanted to really get GAS but nothing else fits me like the Lowden O25C.
looking at this thread again, and as a reality check... the Lowden O25C is still the one I'd choose nearly two years later.

I could see my Stonebridge D33 being very hard to part with.

My 1950 Martin 000-18. Beaten and scratched with a few holes and cracks repaired, sounds warmer than many top of the top butique guitars I had or tried...

My Greenfield G2. Best guitar I've ever played, hands down.

Finally had a chance to get into the studio - here's a clip. Hope you like it.

But if there's a fire, and I can only grab one of them...I guess it's the J-45. That thing probably has twice the stories that I do, and when I'm gone someone else will be still riding this 'ol hoss.
I wrote that in August 2010. All 3 are still here. Guess I got it right! And all three will still probably be with me 'till death. But now the J-45 will outlive me in the hands of a better player...but the D-28S will be buried with me, forever out of circulation, muahahaha!
