Thumbs up Square - Finally a good alternative to Paypal for accepting CCs

https://squareup.com/

This looks like something I could really use alot for doing personal business accepting Credit Cards. I'm seriously looking in to it for my studio as well as other places I can accept CCs.

Anyone using this yet?

This is no better or worse than Paypal. The biggest complaint about PP is "forced" refunds and CC chargebacks.

This service is EXACTLY THE SAME. Read the TOS:

"Please be aware, if your refund policy prohibits returns or is unsatisfactory to the buyer, you may still receive a Chargeback relating to such sales."

You are better off using PP since at least that's a known quantity and just as "secure".

an alternative for the sake of having an alternative isn't necessarily a better alternative.

I guess it becomes WHO you like giving your money to. I'd rather Ebay/Paypal never see another dollar from me.
