Just got my new amp!

I just got my Vox AC15C1 in the mail! I love it!

I went through a pretty big amp transition this last year. Went from a Mesa Boogie DC-5 to a Fender Super Reverb to a VHT/Fryette Deliverance 60 to the Vox AC15C1. It's been quite the year.

Really excited that I can run my Orange 2x12 off it if needed (the greenback with the V30's sounds awesome) and my pedals work really well with it.

Congrats! NAD is always a happy event. Assuming, of course, no shipping damage!

An exciting day for sure!! I've just got word that my Traynor Darkhorse is shipping today, should have it soon!

That Vox seems like a sweet little amp! I may have to get something like that or the Night Train to satisfy my Vox tone jones!

As a side note, how do you like the Holy Fire pedal?

HNAD! Wow, a VHT Deliverence to a Vox AC15? That's quite a trip.

venivici - I love the thing. Even though it only has 4 knobs, I feel like I still haven't discovered all the combinations for what it can do. Right now it's my "in-between" pedal. I run the amp so it's just about to break up so the Holy Fire pushes it into break up where the OCD does all the really overdriven stuff. The Holy Fire into the OCD stacks really well too.

Johnny LaRue - Haha, I know. I thought the DC-5 to Super Reverb was crazy but I actually TRADED the Super Reverb for the VHT. The Super Reverb was too clean for me and I realized that I needed something lower in the wattage dept...I couldn't open any of those amps up like they needed to be so I went with the AC15C1 and I'm really happy. All the changes they made to the new AC15 are really helpful.

congrats. The BD-2 sounds really good to me with Vox amps, whereas I don't really like it much with most other amps I've tried it with. Just some weird synergy I guess. Nice setup, enjoy.

I really think the AC15c1 takes pedals like a champ. Never liked my Fulldrive or my Od3 into my DRRI - to the point I took em off the board. But both sound fantastic infront of the AC15.

Have you had a chance to try it with a high gain type pedal

I currently have a Mesa combo and it's too loud for my apartment so I was thinking of getting the Dark Horse and something like a Suhr Riot

I don't play with high gain usually, but have whomped on it a bit in 12AU7 and 6V6 modes with a cranked OCD. Big fun, but I'm not the guy to put too fine a point on how well it does that kind of thing compared to other amps.
