Best attenuator for low watt Class A amp??

I want to get the full tone out of my Class 5 or my Tiny Terror at even lower volume.
I had a THD Hotplate for my 100 watt Plexi once and sold it. It just robbed to much tone.

I have been looking at the Swart Nightlite

http://swartamps.com/night_light_attenuator.htm

I`m hesitant to purchase something I have not played with in person.

I know Weber and some other companies are making them but was hoping for some input from actual owners.

Anyone played with the Nightlite?
Any other suggestions?

I'm using a Dr Z Brake Lite in mine with very good results. I had a back custom made for it so I could have access to the attenuator. Even though the Brake Lite is small it still barely fit in the C5 cabinet.

I have a Night Light and am very happy with it. I use it with my Swart STR... during the day with the least amount of attenuation, and at night with the highest attenuation.

Just picked up a Class 5 today. If I decide to keep it, which is very likely, I'll have to muck with the speaker cable so I can use it with the NL. (Or any attenuator, for that matter...)

I had a Weber MiniMASS... the NL works much better, imho. Doesn't suck tone to the same degree the Weber did.

Best of luck!

I've used the NL with a Swart STR, Headstrong Lil King, and a Victoria 518. It works well in my opinion - no appreciable tone change. On the highest attenuation, you lose a bit of highs and lows, but I feel that's just part of heavy attenuation. I like it a lot. I used the Brake Lite on the same amps; though I felt it worked well on knocking off some decibels, it was not quite bedroom volumes.

Not all attenuators are the same.

I like the Aracom the best of the attenuators I own (3 Hotplates and a Dr Z Airbrake). Worth the investment to me!

I've owned several Weber models, but the best I've found on my 5W National is a Ho attenuator (same as the Ultimate).
