The "Digitech" models on the GSP and RP's
I have the RP355. When i started to build presets I was drawn to the "name brand" models like the Marshalls and Fenders.
However on of my favorite presets I have built include the Digitech 2101 Saturated Tube amp model. I was going for a Marshall Neil Schon or Gary Moore type tone. I also built a patch based on the "Digitech Metal" model along with the matching cab. I got a really great sounding hair metal tone out of it. I'm guessing there are a few reasons for these "Digitech" patches. Maybe digitech had some legal issues calling a model a 5150 or Engl etc. What I think happened is that the engineers said, "The JCM900 is accurate but let's tweak into something we think sounds even better". Anyone else built some presets based on the Digitech models? |

I like the DigiBrown (or something like that) for Marshall lead sounds.

Yes, The Digi models are probably some of the best.

I like the Digi Brown Sound as well. There's a Digi Blkface bassman that sounds good. The brown sound cleans up nicely too which is a plus. The tweed one is good and so are the 2 2101 models.
