Hartman GE Vintage Fuzz versus MJM London Fuzz
I'm down to these two pedals. Which sounds better? I like Sabbath, Kyuss, Sleep, older stuff like old Floyd, and of course Hendrix.
The available Hartman uses AC128 transistors, but I could hold out from NKTs, but it might not be worth it since, from what I can tell, Hartman adjusts the pedals quite a bit and there wouldn't be much difference between the two (am I right in this assumption?). These two always get a lot of props, with the London Fuzz being better recognized, and I wanted some input. Which do you prefer? |

I have the Hartman Vintage Germanium with AC128s, but I probably haven't anything useful to say other than that I feel that my GE fuzz needs are completely satisfied and I can't imagine acquiring something else that would make me want to ditch it. The London Fuzz seems great from what I've heard, but I'd choose the Hartman again in a heartbeat. Theo Hartman has a great ear, and it matters to him that you get the tones you're after.
