I find that the Krautster fits where no guitar has for me. You can get a twang, snap and hollowed out tone and then turn around and get a beast rock tone all with one pup and a volume. The satin finish is a noteable feature, it is dry and fast. Even though I have a stable of fine guitars, I keep picking it up.

A couple of things it doesn't have is the chunk of a Les Paul and the full bodied warmth of a 335 or my Motorave. It isn't everything, but it really covers allot of ground and is a pleasure to play.

I ordered mine yesterday and was told that I'd have it in October... The wait list is getting longer it appears.
Really excited about this guitar already and the wait is just soooo hard!

I got the gold top with no added features for now. If I feel I'm lacking something I'll get Nik to put in a tone control maybe...
His shop is about a 1.5h drive away from me so that shouldn't be a problem.

Congrats, you are lucky that you live so close....

i don't think that you'll want a tone control. The volume almost doubles as a tone control. 7-10 FAT, 4-6 Brighter and thinner, kind of jangley, 1-4 Clean and spanky.
It's a unique guitar, it's like a Tele and a Jr. rolled into one.

Sounds lovely, I've always wanted a Junior and the Tele is my favorite model of all. I can hardly wait as it is...
I would imagine he's selling a ton of those in the States after the success he had at NAMM. Didn't think that the wait would be that long already but you can't find it anywhere here in Germany. Sold out all over the place.

Ugghhh, this guitar sounds just about perfect for me. I wish. I'd like to try one of these one day.

They're all cool though. Can't wait to see what the Copper Top looks like.
