Stomp Under Foot Op-Amp

I just wanted to give a HUGE thumbs up for Matt's Stomp Under Foot Op-Amp Muff!

First off, let me just say that he has excellent customer service...quick to respond to e-mails, patient to all of my questions, and he steers you in the right direction so you don't get the Muff that doesn't work for you. Oh, and SUF has super fast shipping; just a couple of days from ordering to playing it.

Alright, now to the good stuff. I just received Op-Amp #13. Its roughly the size of something in-between an MXR and a BOSS pedal and is a nice shade of Pumpkin orange with a cool matching LED. The build is solid and looks like it could double as a Master Lock.

I've only been able to play it for a little while but all I can say that within a few tweaks of the Tone & Sustain knobs it was instant Siamese Dream Era Pumpkins.

The tone is cutting, very usable and can get a wide variety of tones. From Wooly, Dark Stoner Rock with a bite to Corgan's cutting Buzzsaw Fuzz.

The sustain knob allows you to have a wide variety of Dirt ranging from Crunchy Rhythm OD to all out Fuzzy Armageddon.

All 3 knobs are very sensitive and interact well with one another. Also, I should note that there is a huge amount of volume on tap....IMO, it sound be quite easy to be heard in the mix. In the short amount of time that I was using it I was able to dial in just about any kind of sound I was looking for.

The overall sound is not like a typical transistor Muff (which is exactly what I was looking for) but a very well built clone of a rare and unique Muff at a great price.

Works well with chords, Power Chords, and single note riffing as well as other effects...such as Delay and Phase.

Thanks Matt for making such an awesome product at a great price and I can't wait to hear when my Civil War Muff will be ready!

+1 on that review. I got one in a trade a while back. It's a great pedal. Looking to try some of the other Muffs that Matt builds.
