Great little amps!

The 6V6 version is the one to have IMHO.

You using a bass or guitar with it?

Curious to see if you can play guitar through one of these

I had one a few years ago, but it was the earlier version with 6AQ5s. This looks like the later version with 6V6s. My amp sounded great for guitar, though there was hardly any breakup even with the amp cranked. It wasn't so hot for bass, though.

I am using it for guitar only.
It stays ~clean up to 5 on the volume knob then it becomes very touch sensitive.
The tone knob on the other hand is something I will have to experiment with. The tone stays bassy while the T-knob is 4 or under - after 4 the amp wakes up and the gain goes up quite a bit.
All and all the best under $300 amp I own.

It will probably need some new power tube socket in the near future but other then that I am just going to play it.

Happy New Small Amp Day!

I never knew they had backs on them. Mine came without one, I've had it a few years. Really sounds good with a tube screamer type boost.

I also replaced the speaker with one from a DRRI, and did the Torres Musicmaster Bass Amp mod. A fun little amp when you need a bit more power than a Champ.

I think the back panel is a previous owner mod. It seems to tighten up the cab some and I found by really tightening the back panel screws that the cab does not rattle even when I play G flat (that note rattles on almost all combos I own).
Very fun amp - I played it several hours today and it just cooked along - it's rapidly becoming #1.
