So what's the new UNDERVALUED, amazing, under the radar bargain?

Just curious?

Last time I checked it was CIJ Fenders and Tokai Les Pauls, and now those have gotten more expensive. Add in Guild acoustics. Then on the amp front it was Princeton Reverbs, and those all shot up. There is always something amazingly built and great sounding that sell cheap because people haven't figure them out yet.

So what's an amazing bargain out there that's floating under the radar?

The last I heard of were the Gibson tweed amps, but that ship just sailed, sadly.

You know, the tube Thomas Organ Vox amps from the 60's are still under the radar, because people see the names of the models and think "solid state" not knowing that for a year or two they were actually made with tubes...Pathfinder. Pacemaker. Cambridge. Berkeley. Know 'em and love 'em.

Harmonys.

I've read it here.

Unless, of course I'm behind the 'vintage' ship again.

Are 60s Ampegs still there, or has that ship long sailed as well?

Nah, 60's Ampegs can still be had for around $600, the 1X12 varieties, which are great bargains. Heck, you can still find them local for under 400-

No, you can still get the early to mid 60's Jets for a reasonable value. Very cool sounding little amps and very compact.

I think a used Hamer USA is the best bargain out there for electrics right now. The new prices are on par with other manufacturers but their resale value is terrible.

Great guitars made with love out of the proper woods. Just make sure it says USA after the headstock logo.

Every once in a while a nice used Hamer USA will pop up with a decent price. G&L's are all over the place, but they do come around every once in a while. I still dig older Reverends (MIK) as well.

I think the 70's and early 80's Hamers are very cool instruments and can be undervalued. The later ones don't really do it for me, but I think they are very fairly priced.
