Mark IV EQ question

I picked up a Mark IV widebody combo over the weekend. The EQ seems to engage whenever I select RHY 2 - regardless of whether have the EQ switch engaged on the footswitch or not.

I've consulted the manual (http://www.mesaboogie.com/manuals/Mark%204.pdf), but the advice on page 11 refers to a rocker switch under the Reverb pot that doesn't exist on my Mark IV.

What am I missing?

The switch it probably on the back of the amp. There is a short chassis and long chassis version of the mark IV as well as 2 different circuit versions (IVA and IVB). I have the long chassis mark IVA head for reference.

Where? As I mentioned in the OP... the manual shows a rocker switch on the back just under the reverb knob, but that's not on this amp.

Going from memory, mine is on the front, close to the power switches. I am not sure if you have the same chassis as I do though.

Try calling mesa boogie if you can't get an answer here. They are very helpful.

Will do. I need to call them anyway about a replacement knob and/or pot.

Looked on mine, its the EQ rocker switch directly to the left of the master volume. Let us know if you still can't find it.

A picture of the front and back of the amp would help in that case.

Bingo; that's it. Saw that last night... it's on the front of the amp; not on the rear as the manual states.

Thing was right in front of me; I knew I was just missing it amongst the 8 thousand knobs and switches on this thing.

Thanks for tolerating my lame question, everyone.
