Way Huge Angry Troll, fun times

Got my angry troll yesterday, daddy like. positions 4-6 for balls out rock and i am really liking the natural somewhat "compressed" offering of position 2, its almost compressor pedal territory but real natural.

This thing is really harmonically rich and plays well with other drives/fuzz. I'm liking the no brainer quality to it

I agree! You either love this pedal or you don't. Unfortunatly it seems as if more of us don't like this pedal... which is why I got it for $60!

The lack of a tone knob may not offer much control, but the sound it offers is sweet enough! I use it with my other fuzz/od pedals and it's a wonder booster!

Too many people are using this as a fuzz/od, but it is first and foremost a boost. It's meant to be run into a clean amp and then you add the dirt from the "fists" as needed. It turns my 1 channel amp (always clean) into a 2 channel amp when I adjust the firsts, but I am still using it to BOOST, my ODs and Fuzz pedals are MUCH better at those sounds.

I would agree it adds something of a compressed tone in a few settings. Nothing like the 808, but there is something there.

I could see why many don't like this pedal if they don't spend some time with it. People at TGP seem to love control over every feature of their sound and the AT doesn't offer that. However, I'd trust Tripps ears over mine any day!

REMEMBER: it's a boost pedal with an added bonus to be used with moderation and in conjunction with other dirt.

I have been somewhat intrigued by this guy for awhile, seems like it could be a cool boost and the price is right, may have to pick one up used and give it a shot.

I was ready to sell this for months, but today, I rocked it out with my Wren & Cuff Tri Pi.

Wow. I'm glad I held on to it. It adds lots of life and scream without changing the fuzz tone very much.

Neat pedal.

I've always been curious about these, and for the prices they go for I really may need to pick one up some day. There is an original Angry Troll on eBay though for $400 right now. Is that a decent price?

I've seen them go cheaper than that haha. I really probably should, simply out of my rampant Way Huge fanboism, but I don't think I have much use for another boost pedal at the moment since I own a Dr. Scientist The Cleanness and an Xotic AC Booster. Maybe it's pedal purging time.

been using mine for about a year now. i run it in front of my MI Audio Tube Zone. it's an excellent stackable dirt, or you can use it as a straight boost. i used to have a Bruce Bennett Insane Gain and the AT does everything i wanted that pedal to do without the need to stomp 3 switches at the same time.

I've heard great things about all the Way Huge Reissues. I would think the Angry Troll is a great deal at 60 bucks.
