Best Quality Hootenanny / Stained Glass / 60's Style Guitar Strap!
I currently have a killer Brookwood leather stap.
For my EJ Strat I want a very good quality Hootenanny / Stained Glass / or 60's style strap with a huge buckle.

Please direct me!

I was at a musical swap meet this weekend and grabbed two old woven-style straps for a grand total of $4. One's an Ace strap too, though I think it's a later one and it has a little bit of weave damage (translate: not worth big bucks). But I love the look of these old straps and try to use them with all of my guitars.

Hippie Strap. www.hippiestrap.com

I use them on almost all my guitars. Fair warning though: they absolutely REEK of cig smoke! Somebody clearly smokes a lot at their shop.

Of the ones I have, these 2 are my favorites:

on my strat:

LP-295

Another option is Levy's, they make a line called hootenanny. I have one and it is nice although it has a slick nylon backing which can be a problem with neck heavy guitars.

That is really cool. Did you get suede or nylon on the inside?
Thanks,

Thanks,
Suede. I HIGHLY recommend against the nylon or woven materials. I have nylon and woven ones as well, and this is what happens with them: you have a heavy brass buckle in the middle of a light strap. Whenever the guitar isn't around your shoulders and you move it around, you have this giant swinging hunk of metal that slams into the finish constantly. I have one (woven not nylon) like that on my Ric, and my heart skips a beat every time that buckle hits the finish. Go for the heavier suede.
