Decent double guitar gig bags for flights?
I've seen the mono case, incase brands...but those are a little on the high end. Is there a good double electric guitar gig bag around $200 that you can take on flights?

I have a double from Probag. Very well constructed. I would think it would work fine. I carry a strat and a tele. It is close to 15" thick with both guitars in it.
http://www.probag-net.com/ Not the best website, but GREAT bags! Craig |

a double bag is going to be tough on flights as you'll only be able to fit it in the overhead. A single bag can be slipped behind the last row of seats by the read of the plane, or middle dividers and can also be stuck in the coatrack if you can sweet talk the flight crew.
A double bag will likely cause you problems |

It probably depends on the route you're flying as well. Los Angeles to Vegas, LA to San Francisco, LA to NYC, LA to Paris... those are crowded flights typically, and the source of my experience. |

I like mine alot. Having said that, they are snug and I don't think I would put anything with an angled head stock in one. It is pretty tight around the headstocks of my Fenders. Not sure how an LP or 335 would work in one. If I know I was the only person handling my gear, I would be OK, but......
