Which MK II - Monsterpiece or BA Scarab?

Hi Guys,
Looking to grab up on a nice MK II clone. Out of these two which would you suggest? If neither, what in that 120-150$ range do you like.

Thanks!

The Scarab is not an MKII clone. You can get some MKII type sounds out of it, as well as some other tones. It's a great sounding pedal. It's got plenty of volume and a nice tone control. Cleans up pretty well for a silicon based circuit too. I actually prefer the Scarab to many of the MKII clones I have had or built.

I have not played the Monsterpiece though. Always heard good things about them. I think that one is probably more of a straight clone of an MKII.

The Monsterpiece MK 2 is not a mark II clone. but a Mark 1.5- There's only 2 transistors, rather than 3.

Monsterpiece does make an MKII clone, but I think it is listed as an MKIII, it mentions it on his site in the descriptions.

I've not played a MP fuzz (they look great on the inside though). I've played a bunch of Basic Audio pedals and John's stuff is just amazing inside and out. The guys got great ears and knows how to make a Si pedal sound very natural and organic. Basic Audio all the way!
