Depeche Mode - Y or N?

Do you like them? a coworker just gave me "Sounds of the universe" from '09, the guitar and synth sounds on it are addictive..

Agreed! I dig "Personal Jesus" -its almost like an electronic John Lee Hooker groove!

"People are people so why should it be, you and I should get along so awfully?" - now that's a pretty heavy lyric hook...

I also like the lyric "grabbing hands grab all they can, everything counts in large amounts." Still applies today!

Band I was in during the 90's did a Metallicaesque version of Personal Jesus. Loads of fun.

A Broken Frame was a favourite of mine back in the 80s.

I also liked Simple Minds, Ultravox, and some other synth pop, right along with Van Halen, Maiden, etc..

I saw them live last summer after being a big fan of their music since I was just a little kid. Absolutely amazing show! I mean these guys still play and preform like they are 25, not 52.

LOVE DM! saw them in 86 and 20 years later in 06. Still as good if not better. One of the few bands that can consistently sell out Madison Square Garden with little to no radio play!

I hate the 80s. They're stuck in it.
