My first pedal build - "Hot Fuzz" inspired...
Just thought I would post my first efforts at a home built Fuzz Pedal. This was a Fuzz Face clone, built on a PCB from generalguitargadgets.com using components sourced from all over the place.
This particular model uses BC108 transistors that I sourced from Bulgaria(!). I had it in a plain boring metal box, but my wife grabbed it and decorated it with one of my favourite movies - "Hot Fuzz". I am a big fan of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Note: This was all 'manual' photoshopped. No computer wizardry here - all hand done cutting and pasting. Notice how she replaced the guns in their hands with guitar necks. Pretty cleverly done with just a pair of scissors... ![]() ![]() ![]() No gut shots of this pedal - my soldering and assembly skills were way too terrible. Perhaps when I build my next NKT 275 based fuzz I will show you the innards as well...

UPDATE: Forgot to mention that the pedal actually works, and sounds pretty good. The tone tends to get muddy when I back off the volume knob (left) so I am going to have to see what I can do about fixing that. Best results is with both knobs dimed - get that Hendrix style dirty fuzz...

Very nice! I like the look a lot. Reminds me one of these days I will have to try a build.
