Planet Waves Headstock tuner anyone?

I was recently at a session and I was helping carry cartage out for a few of the session players. One of them kindly hooked me up with a planet waves headstock tuner. This thing ACTUALLY works. I've tried every headstock tuner out there on my acoustic, and I've been dissatisfied. I think this thing is fantastic...when I hit any given string...it actually registers on the screen. Isn't that a concept???

Sorry if someone already posted about this, but I didn't see it when I searched threads.

I have one for when I only bring a couple of pedals instead of my pedalboard or when I do acoustic gigs. Its a pretty cool tuner

It is the only tuner I use! It is simple, light weight, and effective enough for me. (I always fine tune the strings a bit by ear after using any tuner.) I use the Planet Waves clip on tuner on my electric, acoustic, and classical guitars as well as my ukuleles.

Wondering how it does with tunings other than standard tuning?

I've tried a lot of the headstock tuners & the Planet Waves is my fave so far. The battery life is just stellar (I teach guitar & use the thing at least 20x per day mon-fri and I haven't changed the original battery yet ...& it's been over 4 months).

The only downside is that the top of the clamp (the one that makes contact with the audience side of the headstock) does not have a rubber pad like other clip-on tuners. It is hard plastic & I have noticed slight hairline scratches in the finish around my "Gibson" logo that no doubt will turn into cloudiness over the course of years. I really wish they would fix that....

better than the new smaller, more sensitive & accurate Intellitouch? I've been planning to get one of those for my acoustic...

If you're talking about the PT10...I haven't tried that. I just know the old ones didn't work for me. I'd seriously doubt you'd be disappointed w/ the planet waves one. You can find em for $25.
