A whole new album with Diamond Dave, first since 1984? Holy Moley!

Dave' voice ain't what it used to be and there's no Michael Anthony, of course. I'm most interested in hearing what Ed's songwriting style is nowadays. I wonder if they brought in an outside producer? Hopefully the stuff tends more towards the two tracks on the "Best of" compilation rather than VHIII. A single out before the year ends sounds cool.
Deep in my heart I want it to be great but reality tells me to keep my cool and not expect too much. But it is fantastic that Dave and Eddie are actually recording a whole new project together again. I've been waiting for this since '84! |

Is Dave going to still be singing about strippers and high school teachers?

I don't have high hopes, but I'd love for it to be a great album. I do miss those guys!

I sure hope they get Anthony back in the fold. Without him, it is NOT a reunion.

Oy....would people please STOP with the Michael Anthony nonsense?!?!
He's a mediocre musician, at best, that no one cared about when he was IN the the band. Yes, he seems like a nice guy, but let's not over-do it....... |

Well, I'm interested to hear it. I think the two songs that VH did with Roth (back in the late 90s???) were really good. I thought "Me Wise Magic" was a good song!

The reporter needs his info checked.
VH reunited in 2007, not 2006 and this is the first time that Roth is in studio works with VH in 9 years, not 16. Otherwise, looking forward to any new Ed licks! |
