Beatles "And your Bird can Sing..1 or 2 guitars?

Is the guitar work on the main riff just Harrison or is Lennon playing it as well?
I love that tune.

Great tune! I play that one in my cover band......

I love that tune.
George & Paul doubled the riff on guitar, Lennon played rhythm.

One of my favorite songs ever! The harmony vocals in the last verse give me chills everytime.

i saw the tribute group 1964 do this once, and the George fellow played it all by his lonesome-- and it sounded spot on. i'm GEC (Guitar Effect Challenged) but perhaps he had some sort of effect to double up his playing(?).

i vaguely recall a story regarding joe walsh and this solo.

jw learned the solo playing it with one guitar (james gang era).
for a very short time, ringo was staying with jw as they both were connected thru irv azoff (manager/agent to the stars).

apparently, joe didn't know it was tracked with 2
guitars until ringo told him......................

+1
Especially combined with Paul's bass when he throws in that descending bass line in the last verse during "You tell me that you've heard every sound there is". Brilliant!!!

Awesome guitar. It boggles my mind that Lennon considered AYBCS a throwaway album filler song. It's my favorite song on Revolver.

Is AYBCS the first rock song with harmonized lead guitar parts?

I'd heard a variation of it being Joe Walsh, "Dear Prudence" and Lennon.

If Walsh was telling the story, I'm sure there were many variations of it.

There probably is, but the version about "And Your Bird Can Sing" is from Joe's Guitar Player cover interview from April 1988.
