Songs Named After Names

The Beatles were influential. They recorded "Eleanor Rigby" and released it in 1966. The Rolling Stones followed with "Ruby Tuesday." I've often thought this started a fad of writing songs about, and named after, people with interesting names -- full names. Often they were women's names but not always. I've heard a bunch over the years but can't remember them all now. The 1910 Fruitgum Company did "Shirley Applegate." The Archies did "Waldo P. Emerson Jones." The Monkees did "Auntie Grizelda" and "D. W. Washburn."

Has anyone ever noticed this? Would you agree that it was sort of a fad for a while and that lots of bands jumped on it? Can you think of songs with titles that consisted of people's full names, written in the late '60s?

Actually it's a combination of two names: Meher Baba and Terry Riley.

It's only about full names, right? If so, my contribution:

John Wesley Harding - Dylan
The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest - Dylan
Bob Dylan's Blues - Dylan
Balld of Hollis Brown - Dylan
The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll - Dylan
Bob Dylan's 115th Dream - Dylan
The Mighty Quinn (Quinn the Eskimo) - Dylan
Bessie Smith - Dylan & Band
Ruben Remus - Dylan & Band

Does "John The Revelator" counts?

Top Jimmy
Suzy Greenburg

When I read the title a similar subject was on my mind. I was pouring through old music and I found Joe Walsh's deducation to his young daughter who died tragically. It's not her full name, but I think worthy of mention: Song For Emma.
