Talking Gonna try to copy Brim for Fuel Tank and PT Mini

Hi,
Im not trying to start a business or anything. I just like the Brim and Bart mods that have been performed here.

My question:
Assuming I'm decent at soldering, is it pretty straight forward to convert my Fuel Tank Junior cord to the IEC male inlet?

I'm thinking it's just slice, arrange the Live, Neutral and Ground correctly, resolder, and dress with wrap. Then I will mount to the Pedaltrain mini.

Is this true? Am I at risk for zapping anything? Antything else I need to consider when converting my T-Rex cord to accomodate the IEC?

My apologies if this is unethical for Brim's profit margin--I really just want to do my one board.

Thanks in advance...

I do believe you are correct about the IEC.

I was thinking about doing something similar but I thought about budget and just bought a 1SPOT instead.

Unless you attempt your mod while the Fuel Tank is still plugged in--you're not going to zap yourself or anything else for that matter.

slice splice away!

Cool, thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm gonna do it. Started the dremel process, and it has proven to be a little more difficult than I anticipated. Already broke a few discs and made some gouges that require a repaint. I will post pics for anyone who may want a Brim modded board, but feel too cheap (like me) to shell out the dough. Having begun the initial work, though, part of me wishes I just paid Brim to do it.

Very cool. I was able to wire my Fuel Tank Junior with an IEC inlet. Black wire is live, White is neutral, and Green is Earth. I even modded my Pedaltrain Jr the same way.
Thanks Brim and Bart for the inspiration!
