I need a Xits in my life

After watching way to many clips...I think I need to put myself on the wait list for one of these. With a 9 month lead time it should be a perfect chinese new years present to myself.

So, calling all xits owners...how are they? Which ones have you owned?
I've seen a few go up for sale on the emporium. Does anyone want to chime in on why they sold theirs?

Right now I'm trying to decide between a 15watt and a 30watt, single channel or dual channel.

Do you guys think I'll regret not getting the dual channel? Would the simplicity of a single ef86 channel be the key to awesome tones?

How do these things compare to the reigning champ Matchless? Would I be better of with a DC30?

How would you guys characterize the tonal difference between the 5ar rec tubes used in the matchless versus the gz recs used in the xits?

Right now I'm thinking xits sadie 15 vs matchless nighthawk vs xits xs30.

The only thing I'm worried about with xits is the lack of master volume.

Has anyone used the matchless nighthawk? How well does the master volume interact with the ef86?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should check out the Morgan DAG15, killer amp with 3 week wait. It has a power voltage control as well. It should be a serious contender if you are looking at these amps. Here is a demo:

By the way Joe is great about working with you to get you exactly what you want.

Ya I've looked into the DAG15. It looks like a great amp. The only thing is that I have to have an ef86.

The wait doesn't actually bother me. The longer the better. I've got 5 amps already and I need to stop looking at the emporium everyday.

Joe is doing mine with an ef86.

Absolutely. Like I said, Joe is super easy to work with and will pretty much do anything he thinks will sound good.

crazy delicious. can you or anyone else tell me how the output section is controlled?

it's a power scaling control?

you would have to ask Joe about the specifics, but I believe it keeps the pre amp intact and limits the voltage to the power section. This keeps things feeling right with your picking hand. According to Joe it is the only thing that "felt right to him"

Others have commented that it is an excellent solution.
