Way Huge Aqua-Puss delay

Hey everyone,


Ive been lookin at buying one of these puppies for a couple weeks now.

My question to you: Is there any diffrence between the original and the new MkII version thats out under dunlop?

Besides the price of an original, no. According to Jeorge Tripps, everything is the same, all parts. The big difference is that he has Dunlop's backing and manufacturing of his pedals. It is still Tripps' design, etc. Only difference besides the price is the easy access battery door.

Umm...the first release used an MN3005 IC, something that the MKII is not using and cannot get convenient access to. To many delay connoisseurs, this is a pretty big difference.

But, from seemingly popular opinion, the MKII comes pretty close to the original. Of course, this may be a placebo effect and collectors are convinced the original sounds better even if there is hardly an audible difference.

It was disappointing in the Guitar Center tryout I did, but then that's hardly an ideal environment. Certainly nothing to justify replacing a Retro-Sonic.

If you want the legit chips, try a used boss DM-2 or an analogman AR20dl. Both are fantastic! I like both better than the AP
