The best description I can think of is "furry". Simple, excellent value if you need a boost with lots of character.

Great raunchy dirty boost. I use it to to slam the front end of a Ghetto Stomp set to low gain. Takes me right into Neil Young melting tweed territory. I'd love to have Greer build me a custom 2-in-1 Sweetback>Ghetto Stomp. They're that good together. Reeses Peanut Butter Cup good.

Oh man, that's a helluva idea.

I've played missfortune's board with the Sweetback—>Ghetto Stomp, and it is good.

That is a helluva idea. Remember Nick built those Tone Factor exclusive Black Bettys a few years ago, Sonic Boom>Black Fuzz. Had one, sold it, regret it.
I like the Sweetback>Ghetto idea even more.

The Sweetback Driver seems like something I'd like. I had a Ghetto Stomp for a little while. Unfortunately, I may be the only person who doesn't like this pedal. Not much volume, and didn't seem to have any top end. I really wanted to like it more. I'd like to try a Brown Bomber one of these days.

I think it has no top end on purpose... it's great with a Tele. I'm sure it would be with a Strat, too. I think it really comes alive when you also use a boost or distortion along side of it. Just got mine recently, but really like it. Like Catalinbread's SFT, you just have to turn that treble up quite a bit more in certain situations than you do with any other OD pedal I can think of.

Yes, I'm sure it was on purpose. It's just not for me. I'd like to check out some of Nick's other pedals though.

I find that it has more than enough high end for me with the tone control set to about 3 o'clock, but then again, all of my geetars have singlecoils.
