Carbon Copy dying?

Used to be killer. Now with my old settings, it won`t do what it used to do. Now i really have to crank it up to get what it used to do.
Seems weaker.

Anyone run into something like this??

peace

I hear similar complaints from other CC users? Is yours the version one or two?

BTW, I love your band man!

Yeah man! I am jamming one of your albums here at work right now as a matter of fact! HAHA!

I hear that V1 of the CC had its problems, but I believe that Dunlop fixed those issues with V2. I could be wrong though, maybe some other dudes here can chime in.

Hopefully, I can save up funds, and buy one of your Fuzzes.

I suppose I can vouch for the newer version. Still kickin after a year of constant use, but a year's not really that long.

From what I've read, serial #AB03******** and up is V2. In addition, the modulation is more effective than V1. I had a V1 for a while, and now I am using an older Ibanez DE-7. I've played a V2 at Guitar Center, and have noticed that modulation was more pronounced to the previous version.

Do you run batteries for the unit, or go through a power supply?

Have you checked your patches? Sometimes when you notice your signal gets weaker and you have to crank your output on your pedals and amp louder than usual, one of your patches is probably dying. I would check that out first.

If you are certain it's the CC, then give Dunlop a call/e-mail and let them know about your situation. They will replace your CC with either new components or a new pedal all together to prevent that situation from happening again. I had my CC die on me a little over a year ago and stopped by the Dunlop factory to see what they could do. They gave me a new CC with replaced components and I have yet to come across any problems.

Have you changed power supplies recently? When I used a Beavis Audio Huminator with my 1-Spot, my CC did the same thing.

Not the cords... it`s the pedal. I emailed, we`ll see what happens.
