Addictive Drums error in Reaper
When trying to drag a beat into Reaper, get an error stating "fatal error writing temporary midifile to" and then "........\settings\addrop.mid"
Tried opening Reaper in admin mode and disabling avast. Didn't help. Any advice? Using Win 7 HP, got this error after loading up the groovemonkee free midi pack I can drag and drop if I get the tracks to say "offline" in Reaper (you know, if it's not the active window). I can do this by clicking ShowUI in the plugins screen. However, when I choose a beat, all existing beats in Reaper are changed. So if I put down a regular beat, then want to add a fill, The fill will add but all prior data will be overwritten with the fill looping as well. After more troubleshooting, it will let me put down the first beat (whatever it is) no problem, long as no pre-existing beats. The second beat brings up the error. Ok, after more troubleshooting, it appears I can workaround this if I glue the existing miditracks to the project. I guess this frees up the addrop.mid. Any thoughts are appreciated Last edited by Moe45673; 07-22-2010 at 05:50 PM. |

Don't know but if you still are stuck, you could try the xln forums http://www.xlnaudio.com/forum/ They are usually pretty good.

Do you have Kaspersky antivirus?
If yes, it could be the cause...
