Bon Jovi unplugged

2007 performance.

Ol' John seems a bit contrived and full of himself. It's only rock and roll, John. You are not reinventing the wheel, no matter how you try.

Fake.

A wonderful, hate-filled contribution to TGP.

When I saw the thread title, I thought maybe it was about giving Jon credit (and/or blame) for kicking off the whole "unplugged" thing. After all, wasn't it an acoustic performance of "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Jon and Richie that served as inspiration for the MTV Unplugged series?

I was just making a comment on his latest effort. He's lost something. Not sure what happened. The whole setup was really weird. A version of Living On A Prayer with an orchestra that seemed patterened off Eleanor Rigby...

Not hate, man... the whole thing just kind of soured my stomach.

To top it off, Richie Sambora is sitting there kissing Jon's ass every time he says anything. It was similar to Ed McMahon with Johnny Carson.
"That is correct, Jon!"
Very strange.

I've never cared for the whole unplugged thing. But I know wimens love it. My wife and daughters love Clapton's unplugged CD yet I can't listen to it for even 2 minutes. And that doesn't mean I don't like acoustic music, I do.

I hate anything with shitty "pinch-y sounding" DI acoustic guitar.

My own gigs included.

(I'd burn my acoustic rig if it didn't make money. But it does...)

yup. and then bands that never would have picked up an acoustic guitar were lining up to get on that show.
