Why does the Sci-FI channel suck so badly?

Battlestar Galactica seems to be the apex of this channel..... No Babylon5
No Doctor Who..... NO Space 1999.....No decent Anime.. No Red Dwarf a few Star Treks here and there.

I could care less about thier bad CGI B-movies. stupid ghost hunter shows ( surprise they never find anything!) and now they are entering the vapid (but low production cost) world of reality TV.

I've lost all enthusiasm I originally had when this channel first appeared.

It's OK. It's in good company. I think maybe 2 of the 180 channels I get are worth watching.

I like some of their original series. The B-movie fluff they produce themselves is probably just cheaper than paying for the rights to other shows. Wrestling and the Ghost Hunter crap is ridiculous, but there ya go.

With the exception of BSG, they lost me when they ended Farscape the way they did.

The should just run all of the Star Trek series/movies, and the old Twilight Zone.

I don't know... I love Warehouse 13! Mind you, much of that is Joanne Kelly's smile and legs (you know... the kind that go on forever ) and watching for local landmarks since it's shot in these here parts.

Eureka is good for a laugh... but does occasionally get a bit hokey...

Because they changed their name to "Syfy"?

We like "Warehouse 13", but I want Doctor Who back.

I like Wharehouse 13 ...

Merlin was cool

Fact or Faked has potential

Destination Truth was goofy .. but it's fun to learn about local myths and legends from all over the world

Ghost Hunters finds plenty of "what the heck was that" type stuff ... just not every show and no solid way to say it is actually paranormal ... and it is a TV show .... so ....

Sometimes their movies are good, too ... Dune, Tin Man, Alice .... but most are just bad

and I don't do horror ... why does horror always get thrown in with Sci Fi?

I agree, Warehouse 13 is the only good thing they have done in a while. When I would surf, that would always be one of the channels I would hit, but now, I typically pass over it as often as not. I wish they would at least run X Files reruns. Sumthin.

They show anime on Monday nights starting at 11pm or so. It's very hit or miss though.

I was a nay-sayer in the beginning, but I was very wrong. Best piece of tech I've got since cable internets.

I'm not into Sci-Fi stuff but often look at the movies they make. They are so bad, it's almost comical.
