Soloway Gosling Single "15" (Video added)

My Single "15" is ready and shipping tomorrow. Jim posted pictures and some audio files on his website. A video is further down the thread (post 8), made by Jim. This is my first Soloway, and I am very excited!

Wow, I didn't know Jim made singlecuts on the Gosling models. Is it possible to get a singlecut Swan?

Knowing Jim, most things are probably possible. He is making the Single 15 as a 27" upon request, I believe.

We are now offering the single cut in both Gosling and Swan versions and in both standard and fingerstyle string spacing. At this point, the Swan version is available by custom order only.

But be aware that this is not the sort of guitar that most people here normally think of when they hear the words "single cut". It is not at all in the Les Paul direction. This is a fairly large, mostly hollow body guitar and it's meant to be an archtop alternative. The official name, "The Single 15", is in reference to the 15" lower bout. Just to put that in perspective, here's a look at Matt's new guitar standing next to a Gosling with our original body. These guitars have the same scale length. The only difference is the shape and construction of the body.

And my thanks to everyone for the kind remarks and especially to Matt for all the support. His guitar is shipping out this afternoon and I think he's going to be a very happy man soon.

Well, the guitar arrived, even more beautiful than the pictures indicate. And, it arrived in tune! I've been playing it for the last couple of hours. Wonderful.
