Help with Adobe Premiere Pro (Simple video edits)
Here is my situation:
I took my South Park DVD and ripped it to my hard drive. I then converted all the vob files into one large lossless mpeg. Now what I'd like to do is cut it up into the individual episodes and save each episode as a separate mpeg file, with no change in quality. I have Adobe Premiere Pro, which seems like it should get the job done, but good god, this program is overwhelming to the point of being frustrating. ![]() Can anyone help out with how to do this? (PS- I'm using the windows version part of CS4 master collection) |

Although you can do it with Premiere, it's not really the best tool for the job.
Use something like DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD to your hard drive (removing the copy protection) and then use Handbrake to convert the individual episodes to whatever format you want. Both these apps are free, easy to use and will get the job done in a few minutes. |

In a word: Subclips.
Set your Set Clip Marker > In and Set Clip Marker > Out points, and Make Subclip.

Yea... Handbrake was not what I was looking for. I just want to take a large video and cut it into smaller files as I see fit. I'll try the clip markers... sounds familiar. |
