I've been playing through a Delta Pro 12A for a few days...now all my other cabs suck

At first I thought it sounded kinda flat and sterile but I decided to keep playing through it (I broke it in prior with the stereo). I just plugged a crex and a gov back into the same amp and now I can't stand how they (gov/crex) sound and the delta sounds fantastic to me. The other speakers sound bright, thin, muddy, and cheesy/cheap to me now.

The delta is clean WAY past where any of the other speakers started breaking up even though it's not quite as loud. I thought it was the amp (omega hrdx) that started breaking up over 3 but apparently it was the speakers. Distortion tones are way more articulate and tight sounding. The delta allows me to put the bass control all the way up without sounding muddy...other speakers max out around 4...

Will my other speakers ever sound good to me again?

"Will my other speakers ever sound good to me again",,,,, NO.
This is totally subjective, I know,,, but to me, once you use some big magnet, big voice coil speakers,,,your search is over.
Deltas, Commonwealths, EVs, JBLs, Altecs,,,,most everything else is just an El Cheapo second rate sound.

Never understood how so many players can spend multiple thousands of dollors for an amp, plus thousands more for a good guitar,,, and then fret and fuss about which "garden variety" speakers to use.

ya right... My Delta Pro is so similar to my EVM12L that I can't actually be sure what difference I hear, if any, when swapping them back and forth in the same 1x12" wide body cab for A/B comparison... right now I've got the Delta Pro in the open-back wide body, and that's my #1 cab... the EV's in an Avatar Cube 1x12" closed cab that comes out if I need more spread or oomph!, but these are just where the speakers landed after I finished playing around with them - it could just as easily gone the other way...

Studio mics won't lie.
There is a Big difference in tones between the two on tape.
How many pro's are using Delta Pro speakers compared to EVM12L speakers ?
At half the cost, many would IF they sounded that similar.

I went for the dpa because it's a little darker as much as the price. I may try a evm now but not for this particular amp probably as I'm still not opening up the treble past 5 or 6.
