They are dreadful. I am not jealous in the least. I would shoot myself if I had to put out shit like that to make money. I write tunes for a hobby and fun, not for my income. I would NOT trade lives with them for all their money. Who cares if they are rich? They are probably ashamed of themselves. Who would be happy churning out crap like that? My wife hates them too, but of course she has taste. Most people are stupid, they will buy anything. Most people are also not very passionate about music. I'm sorry, but I just have no problem with 'em whatsoever.

Would I go to a concert? Not if I had to pay, but when a song comes on the radio- that's fine. Have never really understood the depth of the hate for these guys.

EDIT- just skimmed the thread again and saw a reference to NB songs with "overt misogyny" and I will agree that ANY song that goes there is trash can material.

Oh, I'm sure they're not ashamed of themselves for putting out that shit. Notice they've put out the same album how many times now.... Chad knows where his paycheck is and were he even capable of writing anything else, it would probably bomb because their fans expect the Nickelback formula. Someone brought up AC/DC basically doing the same. For anyone coming in to say AC/DC has done the same, to compare both bands is ludicrous. To me, Nickelback come off as Creed wannabees, and that ain't a good thing.

I just think it's funny (concerning someone's earlier comment about album sales) that after more than a decade of having Nickelback shoved down our throats and over-played on every radio station they've still sold less albums than Limp Bizkit, who got nowhere near as much airplay and hasn't released an album since 2003.

I voted yes.... but not on my behalf. My entire family likes them. 2 sons (10 and 8) and wife (38). I don't HATE it.. there are some good riffs and great guitar tone.. but I won't listen to them when the family isn't around.

I actually voted yes, not a band i'll burn on a CD and listen to in my truck, and i've read Chad or homever is tough to get along with, but hey, they rolled the dice, and got out there and did it. Give them props for that.
