Question Dimarzio Area T...a REAL Tele pickup???

I am wondering if the standard (not Hot) Dimarzio Telecaster Area T Bridge pickup sounds like a real Tele P/U??? Any loss of high end sparkle etc? I am getting fed up with hum and bzzzz and am looking for a great noiseless pickup to put in my Kelly Esquire.

They aren't quite there, but they do sound damn good(they don't quite nail the high end/sparkle, but they're very close). I haven't looked back since I threw a set in my tele.

I've got one in my Kelly Tele. So if you're asking if a standard (not Hot) Dimarzio Telecaster Area T Bridge pickup sounds like a real Tele pickup in a pine body Kelly build, the answer is ayep - and NO HUM! I know it sounds funky that it matches with a '63 Firebird in the neck, but it's actually a great combo - I love the middle position switch tones where you get the Dimarzio mixing all up in that Firebird goodness! But yes, bridge alone will twang just fine. Here's a closeup of the Area T in the bridge:

I really like mine. AB'd with a trad single coil you'll hear some differences, but I a mix they really shine and they certainly sound tele.
