Looking to buy a univibe-Fulltone or MJM

I am looking to purchase a univibe this week. I am between a Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe or a MJM Sixties. I do not want to wait or overpay for a KR.
Thoughts. Hendrix and Doyle Bramhall II are the sounds I am thinking of. Doyle uses Fulltone.

I'm currently on the KR Mega-large list but if I needed another Vibe I'd get the Mojo or the Fulltone MDV. I think there's an internal trim on the MDV worth checking out too, good luck with that!

I have owned both sizes of the Sweet Sound (Ultra and Mojo), Captain Coconut 2, large Fulltone deja vibe, Fulltone original black/grey Deja 2 and now looking to try something else.

I've owned the MJM Sixties Vibe for a few years now, and will vouch for it being a fantastic sounding unit. It's reportedly an exact copy of the Univibe circuit, and to my ears it sure sounds like it. With that said, I'm tempted by the Fulltone MDV-2 for it's smaller foot-print and heel-relay bypass. I can't afford it right now, and I do already have a great sounding vibe, albeit a bulky one.

Mike Fuller's vibe designs aren't an exact copy in that he's added the vintage/modern toggle. I've only played around with them in the store, never through my own setup with my other pedals. They sound good, though a little darker than the Sixties Vibe. This may be adjustable via the internal trim pot controlling photocell brightness though.

One that doesn't get enough press around here is the Retroman UberVibe - it does have a 6-8wk wait, but it is well worth it and Joe is top notch when it comes to customer service.

I have no experience with the MJM but have owned the MDV-2 for about a year. I absolutely love it with a slighly overdriven signal but can't say the same with med to high gain. I does have an internal trimmer to adjust the lamp intensity which I bumped up just a bit. I almost always use the vintage chorus setting. Modern can be useful but I've yet to find a good use for the vibrato mode.

I've had a couple of MJM 60's vibes, an older yellow one and an older grey one. Although these units sounded great, my custom shop deja vibe sounds better in the band mix. Seems to have a little more volume too.
