I bought his eBook about a week ago, but I haven't had the opportunity to look at it thoroughly. I was interested to find out where this guy is coming from musically.

I think it's great that someone this talented can follow his muse, no matter where it takes him. I prefer him doing that than going through the motions with a form of music that he did not "feel". To me, much of what he plays would still be somewhat similar no matter the context (Creative improvised music is what I think of it, at least when he stretches out), but I am glad he doesn't have to combat the "jazz" police
