What non-fender amp under 1K has lush reverb?

Looking for an amp, other than Fender, for home use but loud enough for jam sessions w/ decent tone. I rarely use reverb at a gig, but I like it when I am just playing by myself at home. Also have a friend who comes over and we jam instrumentals, and reverb is fun for that.
So, I need a basement amp that can be heard over a moderate drummer and is on the cheaper side as amps go these days. Under $500 would be cool too.
Don't limit your input to amps that retail under $1k, if they can easily be found used under 1k that works too. Prefer a combo, but will consider heads.
Please no FS offers, I am seeking info at this point, not actual sale offers.
BTW, I love fender amps, just want to explore other options.

The Mesa Boogie Blue Angel has the best reverb I've heard. Mesa has stopped making the amp but you can find them used for less than $1000

Yeah, any used Boogie. The reverb can't do quite that boingy drippy surf thing, but it's well-made and has its own thing going. Look for models with long-spring tanks. Keep in mind that unlike most Fenders, a Boogie's reverb can easily go into feedback howl if you crank it all the way with some amp gain. Boogies toss that whole Fender/Marshall thing of sounding best when wide open out the window. The controls generally have plenty of "too much!" in their travel, so you have to actually make an effort to dial them in.

If you're willing to take a beater and keep your eyes peeled, you can find many old Boogies for under $500. I got a Studio .22+ for not much more than in near-mint condition, and it has great reverb.

Beat me to it - that's my first suggestion too. Something in Ampeg's Gemini series would also fit the bill. The recent Ampeg reissues are nice amps too, but they have a very different sound from the originals and the reverb isn't nearly as lush.

Fenders use accutronics spring units..get the 5 spring..long pan unit in whichever amp you choose and youll be good. My Z has a short pan in it
does ok. I had a Traynor that did nicely for awhile but had its
quirks.

Another vote here for the Blue Angel. I've had a 4x10 BA for years, and I love it. Great build quality, lush reverb, and the ability to switch between 6V6 and EL84 tubes. You can find nice ones for around $750 or $800, which is a steal for this caliber of amp. I had a nice blackface Pro-Reverb when I got my BA, and later decided to sell the Fender and keep the BA. By direct comparison, they sounded very similar. The only drawback to the BA is that it's a heavy amp. But if you aren't going to move it much, it won't be a problem.
