Gibson SG wiring HELP PLEASE!!!

I recently aquired this SG from the TGP forums. Was told it had WCR Crossroads, pots and jack updated. Was also stated it had a volume treble bleed system.

Overall I love the guitar, plays and feels great. Only issues is when I turn the volume down its not acting like my other guitars I own. It seems to get muddy and not cleaner.

Here are some pics of the wiring. Anyhelp to put it back to original or close to would be of help. Other suggestions welcome as well.

Thanks,

Joe

It's not the parts that are causing your problem it's how the pickups are wired. Your photos show it has independent volume wiring and that's where the mud is coming from. I would suggest reversing the pickup and switch leads so the pickup is on the first lug of the volumes and the switch in on the center. This will fix the issue; then if you think it gets too bright as you turn the volumes down just clip off the extra cap and resister that goes across the same lugs on the volume as the pickup and switch.
