How often do you blink?

Mock thread but I'm actually interested in the answers.

According to Wifey I blink an average amt of times. We have someone on our floor at work who seems to blink every second or two.

How often do YOU blink?

I get dry eyes, so I probably blink more than I used to. Without ever keeping track, I'd guess that goes in spurts as I notice they are dry and scratchy feeling.

I can't wear them any more, but back in the day they told contact lens wearers to blink frequently to keep them from drying out. This was back in the day of hard lenses (I have astigmatism and back then (late 70s/early 80s) they didn't have soft lenses for that. I don't know if that is still the case.

I had the same experience. I think the movement of the hard lenses in your eye made you blink involuntarily as well.

I blink a lot because of dry eyes. Sometimes I blink in hopes that I will then be able to see better... but somehow that doesn't work.
