Whats "new" or outdated, with wireless?
I am an old school guy who has used a "hard" wire to my bass for 45 years and I have been thinking about getting a wireless rig.
A guitarist friend told me recently not to buy an older used unit as some of the frequencies are being used now by cell phones. Is this true? Is this an issue? is it no worries or something I should take into consideration when buying a (most likely) used unit? peace Kirk |

Yeah, I believe some of the vhf stuff isn't useable any more. You can still get UHF stuff, but I'd suggest looking at a digital unit like the x2 or line 6 g30 - the sound quality is much improved, most cant tell the difference between that and a cable, or find the difference too little to bother them.

VHF is still OK, the UHF units in the 700-800 Mhz range are the illegal ones.

One day my IEM won't work, but I'll wait for that day before I upgrade.
