I loved the pumps. I loved lots of shoes when I was a teenager. They were much cooler back then. These days... meh.

I wore some hi top pump football shoes for softball for one season. I liked that the pump held my foot in place inside the shoe (REALLY anal about that when I used to play sports), but man they were heavy. I've had hiking boots that weighed less than those things did.
