Does anyone use two power supplies on their board?

Ok I finally got my board situated adding on the EVH Phase 90 and the Dunlop DVP1 volume pedal. I still plan on adding a couple more pedals the problem is I ran out of connectors on the 1 spot. I have a PP2 sitting on the side and I was thinking of hooking that up as well and when I do get some more additions pedal wise using that and the 1 spot. Is that a good idea, can that be done? I see some have alot of pedals on their boards and don't see more than 1 supply.

Daisychain cable out of that PP2 for the best clean, isolated power. If you gots it use it.

Whoa. Are you saying that I can connect my 1 spot to the PP2 and use both off of the PP2?

He meant to use the PP2+ as the main power supply. If you run out of outputs, you can daisy-chain a couple of pedals from the same output (assuming their combined current draw is less than what that output has available, and assuming they don't mind being daisy-chained. If you need the 1-spot, you can power it from the same power strip as the PP2+, or run it from the accessory mains AC outlet on the back of the PP2+.

Oh, ok so on the power strip where the PP2 and my amp are plugged into I can plug in the one spot and just use two seperate power supplies.
Or your saying I can plug the 1 spot into the back of the PP2 and just run it off of that? OK. Thanks

They're saying to run a daisy chain out of one of the PP2+ power outputs, not the actual 1spot wall wart. You probably can plug the 1spot wall wart into the courtesy AC outlet on the PP2+ though. E-mail or call VooDoo Lab and ask them. They are very helpful.

You can plug the 1Spot into the accessory outlet, it is connected to the AC out as if it is an extension cord. Just don't plug an amp into it.

Ha, yeah I figured on not plugging the amp into the PP2 lol. Ok thanks to the 1 spot can be plugged into the back of the PP2, that helps alot.

Do you really need the 1spot? If you have a PP2+, that's what you should use. The 1spot can be handy for a large consumer (a single pedal that draws more power than the PP2+ can provide), but as long as the PP2+ isn't fully used up, that's what you should use.

If you have more than 8 pedals running, you can use the daisy chain (like jimtaka said) to power more than one pedal from one of the PP2+ outputs. You need to know the current draw figures for each pedal, though, so you can and find combinations that stay within the limits of the PP2+.

Ahhh I see, what kind of pedalboard is that? I like it that the power supplies fit underneath. Ok so I think I figured this out, either get another power supply, or connect the 1 Spot to the PP2 and use them both. Or get a proper pedalboard, I am just using a large piece of wood right now.

I would post a pic but I don't know how on this forum.
