Question about syncing 2 HD500's

Does anyone know if you can take 2 PodHD's and copy the patches from one to the other without using a computer (I'm guessing you would do this via the MIDI ports)? I'm asking because if I end up using an HD500 live, I would have a second as a backup. Of course I wouldn't want to have to dial the patches in to each, and I would need a quick way to sync them before shows. Anyone know?

No MIDI dump from one HD500 to another at the moment. You'll need to back up a bundle file with the HD Editor on your computer and then load it up onto the other POD.

Which gives me an idea for Line6; HD 500 Edit for iOS/Android!

Idea #2; next version of Pod uses WiFi to transfer presets!

Thanks for the answer, Rick! Is this something that might be enabled by a firmware update in the future?

Don't mean to hijack the thread but since we got a Line6 guy in here...

Is the Aux in a guitar input or line level input? Will there be any signal degradation if I run a line level into the Guitar input or Aux for re-amping?

It's line level, hence them calling it an "Aux" input. It's used for running a CD player into it for practicing along.

I don't mean the CD/MP3 1/8" input, I mean the 1/4" Aux in that's next to the Mic input. Also, I'm pretty sure the manual says that you can plug a second guitar into the Aux in. I'm just trying to find out what the impedance is on it so I don't mismatch it.

The manual says that you can plug in a second guitar, but doesn't give the impedance as far as I can see.
