Retro-Sonic Phaser - Custom Color

Well I'm looking for a Retro-Sonic Phaser. I've had one before and sold it thinking that I wanted to go for a multi-effects modulation pedal. Well I decided to go back to the good old analog goodness of individual effects. So back to the Retro-Sonic I go. I loved the one I had before, so I am certain that it is the right pedal for me.

The only thing I didn't like was the plain jane grey paint job. So I was thinking about having T1M or somebody paint and silk screen it to make it look like an MXR Script Phase 90. I did a rough mock-up in MS Paint:

So what do you guys think? Cool? Stupid?

I think it's very cool, even though I like the plain grey paint job.

Maybe it's the UT fan in me, but I like a little orange on the board

Go for it. Just use a new box so if you change your mind you can sell it in it's original box.

I also love this phaser, and I also wish it looked more interesting.

Post back once you've gotten it done, I'd love to see! Maybe I'll end up doing the same thing.

I thought about doing that, but I really don't think I'll ever sell it. I know how that goes and all, but I am confident. Plus even if I did ever decide to sell it, I bet someone would buy it with the new paint job anyway.

Will do. It will be a while. I'm looking for the right deal on one right now and then I still have to find somebody to do the work and get it back from them. I'd say that I think I can have this done and in my hands within a month.

So does anybody have any recommendations on who to contact about doing this job?

I already PM'd Dan. He quoted me a great price and said he could do it, but I would have to provide the silkscreen. I have no idea how to do this stuff, so I would really prefer to find somebody that I can pay to do it all.

Is that a website or a TGP user? Or both?

http://www.pedalpartsplus.com/

We should approach Retro-Sonic with maybe a limited run of 50 or 100 or something.
I really like that mock-up!

I don't think he posts much, but I've dealt with him a time or two and he's a super-cool guy.

Great idea! If you guys convince him to do a limited run, you tell him to hold one for me!

Just spoke with a guy on the phone that might be able to help us out. He lives here in Murfreesboro (birthplace of the Timmy ), where I live. We're going to try to get together in the near future to see if we can work something out. I will post updates in this thread.

Haven't heard back from the local guy, and I found a TGPer that quoted me a good price to do the work. I also found a Retro-Sonic Phaser and am having it shipped away for the refinish now. I will post pictures when it's done.
