Sounds cool Sonia - Happy Birthday!

I'm a native of South Gate - I lived on Ohio between Truba and Alameda, sorta near the old Firestone plant, and my Grandfolks lived off Southern just past Long Beach Blvd. My Dad went to Huntington Park High - some of my cousins went to South Gate, some to HP.

We moved to Redondo when I was 9, so that's where I went to high school.

Happy birthday Sonia. Those are our old stomping grounds. My wife, Deborah, grew up in La Mirada and I used to work in South Gate. Deborah always told me stories from her young and wild days when the big place for music in the area was the El Monte Legion Stadium. (That was longer ago than she cares to admit )

And Dana, I had no idea you were from that area. How cool.

That's Right Folks We're Gettin' Our Wednesday Night Jam On TONIGHT 11-10-10 at the Sportsman's Lounge, 13902 Imperial Hwy, La Mirada, CA (562) 921-1016 from 8pm-12am. And Starting Next Month, the Open Jam will be changing slighty to a Bands, Fans AND Jam format where I'll be featuring Local Bands from 8pm-10pm and then holding the Open Jam Session from 10pm-12am. So any Local Bands interested in playing for an hour or two and can bring some people out to the La Mirada area on a Wednesday Night, hit me up at sonia@soniaandthesituation.com I still have 12/22 & 12/29 available!!!

Thank You for the Birthday Wishes!!! I know you're about 30 mins away but I hope you can make it by one of my Jams at some point in the future. Also some friends of mine do a Sunday evening jam at the Desert Room in Gardena. That one might be somewhat close to you if you're still in Redondo. Hope to see ya soon!!!

I live up in Santa Barbara nowadays - it's a couple hours down to South Gate for me. Jim's in Portland, so it's an even further swim for him (GRIN).

Thanks! Had lots of fun at the South Gate American Legion the last time we were there so I'm hoping this one goes well and we can have monthly Friday Night jam there on a regular basis
