HD500 Questions - Harmonizer, Set List.

Unless the HD starts to have some quality control issues or the software on the units start to take a dump I will be owning one. But I have some questions. I didn't want to open a thread to just open one, I waited a little while but haven't seen anyone really use it or go into detail on Harmonizer.

1. How is the Harmonizer. I have the RP500 and it warbles horribly (even with the newer updates). How does it do with higher gain patches. Our church is doing a version of TSO's Christmas Eve Sarajevo, and I would love to harmonize the melody line, but my RP500 is to unreliable.

2. Anyone using the Set Lists? It appears fairly easy reading the manual. But using them live, any concerns any issues or anything to be aware of?

Well the set lists are just separated groups of slots to save settings in, that's all. I only use one set list at this time, in fact I only use 4 banks of 4 sounds each so far.

As far as the harmonizer goes... It seems okay with mono lead lines, but I don't really use it all that much, so maybe others can pipe in. If you are looking for Edge-style shimmer on chords, though, get a POG2.

I use the set lists to set up groups of patches for different guitars. Seems to work pretty well

IMO the harmonizer is not worth the massive DSP cost that comes with it. It's pretty weak if you ask me. I spent a lot of time with it and couldn't get it to do a good "liquid harmonized lead" tone at all.
